Isaie Micomyiza

Isaie is a passionate children's content enthusiast, with a background in book publishing and educational services. He holds a BA(Hons) in Translation & Interpreting Studies from the National University of Rwanda. Isaie has been active in children’s content creation since 2014 and has directed the research, editorial, and production process of more than 120 children’s books in Kinyarwanda, and the translation of some of them into French, English, and Swahili. Isaie is a board member of RCBO, an umbrella organization for children’s books publishers in Rwanda, and also heads the editorial board behind a children’s magazine named ‘Karame’. He has co-facilitated different workshops for publishers, writers and editors in Rwanda, and has co-organized various book-related events such as book fairs, book awards, and public reading activities among others. As our Country Manager Rwanda, Isaie coordinates Ubongo’s adaptation process including translation, revision, and dubbing as well as distribution of our content across the Africa Great Lakes Region.
