Ubongo Attends First ICT in Education Exhibition in Tanzania

    By ubongo | Blog, Ubongo | 0 comment | 25 October, 2015 | 1

Ubongo was honoured to attend the first ICT in education exhibition in Tanzania, organized by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training at the end of September.

The conference served as a way for e-content innovators and education stakeholders from across the country to come together and discuss solutions to the challenges of implementing ICT.  There was a particular focus on e-learning in primary schools as a tool to increase literacy and math skills.  Nisha Ligon, Ubongo’s co-founder and CEO, was able to give a presentation to participants on our existing e-learning platforms such as the Ubongo Kids cartoon, Ubongo Mobile, and Ubongo eBooks and their impact on children’s learning.  Iqbal Noorjiwan and Esteria Kajuna, researchers at Ubongo, also attended the exhibition and noted the excitement from other exhibitors about Ubongo and its potential to grow and reach even more children in Africa.  Ubongoers were thankful to be invited to this event and look forward to seeing how ICT can continue to shape education in Tanzania!
