Market Research Report on Ubongo’s audience by 60 Decibel

Ubongo is Africa’s biggest classroom, and our edutainment programs Akili and Me and Ubongo Kids reach 17 million families across Africa on TV, radio, and mobile in 6 local languages. For us to continue to create programs that deliver real impact to kids and their caregivers, we need to listen to our audience. We already work with kids and their parents to create our content through focus groups, interviews, prototyping, and user-testing workshops and activities. And we also solicit their feedback through SMS questions, social media polls, impact studies, and market research. We recently worked with the research firm, 60 Decibels, to conduct market research on our audience in Tanzania. Through in-depth phone interviews with 207 parents and primary caregivers, we were able to gain insights about the families who watch our shows and the impact of our edutainment in their lives. Read the report to learn more. “
