    The Digital Learning Africa Summit, virtually hosted by IBEForuM on February 3rd – 4th, 2022, was a huge success with 4000+ attendees from 35+ countries. The delegates were the top decision-makers from the education sector which included the CEOs, Directors, Deputy Directors, Learning and Development Managers, Professors, Lecturers, Principals and Deans from globally recognized Schools, Colleges, Universities and Higher Education Academies, along with the Ministries of Education of the African Countries. The insights and the latest innovations of the EdTech industry were presented by well-known speakers and key sponsors like the Oracle Academy, Cypher Learning and many more.

    The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be the driving force to boost e-learning. This conference brought together the digital learning solution providers from all over the globe that will support Africa’s vision of modernizing and digitizing the education sector, and solve the

    challenges of digital learning in Africa.The edtech market in Africa is expected to reach $350 Billion by 2025 as the demand for e-learning technologies are on the rise.

    The expanded interest in utilizing educational innovations to evolve the learning techniques offers the chance to revamp the traditional teaching methods by introducing unique innovation for the African continent, aiming at the mission of Africa’s Agenda 2063. The key stakeholders from the African Union’s Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, have emphasized that “the pandemic had reinforced the importance to transform education systems across the continent through digital education.” and the institution further explained the aim of the Africa Union’s digital technology strategy takes a holistic approach towards spanning access, quality, learning contents, pedagogies, connectivity, and devices.
